Summer is a
great time to build your L’BRI business! Your
customers have extra skin care needs... sun
protection, Aloe Vera for sunburns, sunless
tanning and body butter.
And, you will want to make some extra money
during the summer so you and your family can
enjoy some extra summer fun!
But… the KIDS ARE HOME! Don’t let that be a
reason to minimize your L’BRI activities. There
are lots of things you can do to keep your
positive momentum going all through the summer!
Here are a few ideas:
|
Decide
on a L’BRI sales goal and a reward that
will benefit your entire family – a
special trip to the beach, camping, etc.
Make a chart to track your progress.
Let the kids color it in! Keep reminding
them of the benefits of you working your
L'BRI business. |
|
Keep
your kids busy with play-dates, camp,
Vacation Bible School and more. Exchange
playtimes with other Moms.
|
|
Be
organized. Discuss your working hours
with your children and stick to your
schedule. Separate your work time and
family time. |
|
Kids
don't know when you're on an important
phone call so be creative and make not
interrupting you actually fun. Have your
kids make up a sign that you can hold up
when you’re on an important phone call.
When the sign goes up, they get to watch
a special movie, play with a special toy
or play a video game for a certain
amount of time. |
|
Set
short time blocks – 15 to 30 minutes of
time to work. You can make 5-6 customer
care calls, sponsoring or booking calls
in 30 minutes. |
|
Don't
have “mommy guilt”. Children don’t have
to be entertained every day during the
summer. Encourage them to be creative,
use their imagination.
|
|
Give
older children the responsibility and a
budget to prepare a family meal during
the week. It’s a great exercise for them
and will help save you time. You can let
them select the menu, make the grocery
list of ingredients needed, and go
shopping with you. They can even learn
how to save money by shopping wisely. Be
sure to take pictures of their wonderful
meal and have the whole family celebrate
their achievement. |
|
Have
kids 'work' on their iPad, LeapPad or
workbook while Mom works.
|
|
Give
your kids special projects that they can
do to help you: Stuffing Hostess
packets, putting stickers on literature,
etc. |
|
Invite a
responsible teenager to come over and
play with kids or take them to the
pool. Reward them with extra spending
money or L’BRI products.
|
|
Plan a
few projects that you can do for an hour
or two after the kids go to bed.
|
With some extra
planning and positive expectations, summer can
be filled with L’BRI activities and profits as
well as be a fun time with your KIDS!
